An International Conference on 'Advanced Pulmonary Nodule Mangagement' was organized in Visakhapatnam by KIMS ICON Hospitals on Feburary 1st and 2nd. About 300 pulmonologists , physicians and oncologists from across the country and International experts participated in the conference. Advanced techonologies like Radial E-Bus ,Cone Beam-CT, Augumented Fluoroscopy, Robotic bronchoscopy ,Body vision Navigation,  Bronchoscopic transparanchymal  Nodule access, Cryo biopsy and Radio Frequency Ablation were discussed.

Dr Bharat chukka ,clinical and interventional pulmonologist explained that accurate and early identification and diagnosis of a lung nodule have a chief role in improving the patient's outcome. It was also mentioned that introduction of Conebeam CT techonology in the KIMS hospital was the  first of its kind in the state of Andhrapradesh. It greatly aids in the early diagnosis and management of lung nodule.
